We need your help!

Cub Scouts from across Bristol and Avon County have been asked to make a Christmas card for the crew of HMS Prince of Wales, an aircraft carrier associated with Bristol, all 700 of them!

Each Christmas card received will be entered into a draw for a prize; the Captain and his officers will select the winner.  A goody bag containing items such as a personalised hoodie, lanyard, Commissioning book, thermal mug and key ring will be the amazing prize!

1.   Make a card, A4 or A5, landscape or portrait.  Sign it with your first name and your Pack, for example “My name from 1st Anywhere Cub Pack”

2.   Put your card in an envelope, BUT DO NOT SEAL IT.  Write on the envelope “Crew of HMS Prince of Wales”

3.   Put your card and envelope in another envelope and seal it.  Send it to Mrs J Knott (ACC Cub Scouts), Lyndhurst, Mill Lane, Congresbury, Bristol, BS49 5JD.  Please post in time for me to get your card by 29 November 2020 at the latest.

If you would like your design to be entered into a competition to be printed, this is what you need to do:

Make a card, A4 size, using bold colours and lettering, something like bubble writing is best.  Sign it with your name and Pack, as above.  Put it in an envelope and send it to me, address as above, you don’t need to double envelope because the printers will supply envelopes.  I need to receive your card by 13 November 2020, to give the printers time to set up a print run.

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!  The crew will have a wonderful surprise and you will make a lot of people very happy.

Assistant County Commissioner (Cub Scouts)
