SUMMARY:Silver DofE Practice Expedition
DESCRIPTION:Phoenix ESU\, Thornbury\, are running a DofE Silver Practice Expedition. This expedition is open to all Explorers in the district so if you would like to join the expedition group or your unit would like to run an expedition group at same time\, to share supervision\, then please contact PhoenixESU@cesd.org.uk.  The expedition will be 2 nights leaving from Monmouth approx. 6pm on Friday 6th October\, finishing approx. 4pm on Sunday 9th October at Tintern. \n\n\n\nThis means that anyone registered for Silver DofE who has not started their Silver Expedition section can complete this practice expedition then complete qualifying expedition on the already advertised expeditions later in October.

SUMMARY:MiDAS Induction Theory Session
DESCRIPTION:This session is for those who have not previously completed MiDAS Driver training or have held a MiDAS Minibus Driver Certificate which has expired some time ago and need to complete the induction training to obtain a MiDAS Minibus Driver Certificate before taking any members of our district in a minibus.  Please take a look at our district MiDAS webpage for full details of the training and the costs involved.  If you wish to attend this training please send an email to MiDAS@cesd.org.uk providing your licence details as requested on the webpage. \n\n\n\nThe theory session will include the multiple choice theory test and it may be possible to have your on the road driving assessment the same day / same weekend. \n\n\n\nWe ask that you book onto this course at least 2 weeks before the date so that the venue can be finalised and appropriate minibuses booked.  It may be possible to take late bookings but there is no guarantee that we will be able to fit you in. \n\n\n\nIf you are not available on this date then please e-mail MiDAS@cesd.org.uk as an additional session could be arranged\, or may already be being planned and not yet on the calendar. \n\n\n\nVENUE: To be confirmed – Candidates will be informed (by email) a few days before the event.
