DESCRIPTION:This module must be completed\, within the first 3 months of their volunteering\, by any young person volunteering at a Scout Group whether as a Young Leader\, DofE volunteer or any other reason for volunteering.    \n\n\n\nPlease let us know 2 days prior to date of module you wish to attend by email to YoungLeaders@cesd.org.uk – even if you have booked early please confirm attendance between 7 and 2 days before to ensure you have not been left off the list. \n\n\n\nCan all new Young Leaders (including DofE volunteers) provide the following details for OSM:  \n\n\n\n\nName\n\n\n\nDate of Birth\n\n\n\nContact email \n\n\n\nContact phone number\n\n\n\nExplorer unit (if explorer\, or state Young Leader or DofE volunteer only)\n\n\n\nScout group and Section working with. \n\n\n\n\nAlthough a Young Person is not permitted to assist at a Scout Group until they reach 13½ years of age (for YLs at squirrels\, beavers and cubs but those transitioning up from scouts should wait 12 months before returning to their former scout troop)\, they can start their Module A training in the 3 months leading up to their becoming 13½ years of age. \n\n\n\nVENUE: 1st Woodend Scout HQ\, Talbots End\, Cromhall\, South Gloucestershire GL12 8AJ Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/ywfiGrT3dsXvQiuq8

SUMMARY:Kandersteg / Switzerland August 2026 Information Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We will be holding an information evening for Switzerland on Sunday 7th September\, 17:30 for 1 hour at 1st Chipping Sodbury Scout Hut.  \n\n\n\nPreparation is starting to build and I am now looking for commitment financially as I have a camping bill to pay before the end of the month.   I know this is short notice\, I can send out the presentation to everyone after the weekend and there will be plenty of other chances to come and chat with the team so please don’t stress.  \n\n\n\nThis trip is open to members of all Explorer Units including Scouts\, yet to move up to Explorers\, in Cotswold Edge District\, must be age 14 by time the trip starts (i.e. must be at least 14 years of age by 20th August 2026). It is also open to those who are Scout Network age 18+. \n\n\n\nDates 21st-29th ish of August 2026 (dates depending on transport). \n\n\n\nRowan
